Ilya Trakhtenberg is a Partner and Managing Director in L.E.K. Consulting’s Chicago office. He serves as a pragmatic, strategic adviser to corporate and private equity clients on accelerating business growth, developing and launching new products, and enabling growth execution (e.g., commercial excellence, supply chain optimization). Ilya is the co-author of Predictable Winners: A Handbook for Developing, Forecasting, and Launching New Products and Services (Stanford University Press, 2025), a book focused on helping organizations systematically improve their odds of success in innovation.
Ilya has particular expertise in the healthcare sector. He is a senior member of the MedTech practice and leads L.E.K.'s Healthcare Supply Chain practice. He has published more than a dozen journal articles, serves as a regular speaker at industry conferences, and founded L.E.K.'s MedTech Launch Center of Excellence. Ilya is also a past recipient of M&A Advisor's Emerging Leaders Award and a board member of L.E.K.'s global Sustainability Centre of Excellence.
Ilya was awarded an MBA with Honors from the Kellogg School of Management and completed a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics and Political Science at Northwestern University.
